    Hi Hiruy,

If you double-click on the field, you should be able to type or paste the file path you need, even if you can't navigate to it through clicking on the navigation tree. This should resolve the issue, but let us know if not.

We will re-open this one. For export, you can send exceptions to a Query (so you can see what wasn't updated): http://omatic-importomatic.helpdocsonline.com/export-profile-output-files

But for the specific use case of the Luminate Connector / Group Sync, the request is to be able to see which records were added to the group in LO and which records were removed from the group in LO.

    Hi Erin,

In version 3.5 of ImportOmatic (released a couple weeks after your post), we added the ability to use RE Exports instead of relying solely on Query. Have you tried that? That would allow you to export specific Aliases, as you described needing.

    Hi Emily,

Are you referring to the Donations profile type or other ones? According to the field documentation we've compiled from Luminate's API resources, the following fields are pulled from the credit card itself:
    Payment - BillingName - FirstName
    Payment - BillingName - MiddleName
    Payment - BillingName - LastName
    Payment - BillingName - Suffix

All of these fields are provided across all of our profile types containing credit card transaction info.

Does this resolve the issue? If not, can you provide more detail? Thanks!

Thanks for the idea! We currently have a Salesforce Connector that covers report-based data imports and allows exporting from RE to Salesforce.

We're always looking to expand functionality in our connectors as we learn more about how organizations use data in conjunction with RE. If you are interested in participating in a discovery conversation with our product management team, send a note to: amandat@omaticsoftware.com.

    Thanks again!

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback! Please know that we are actively working to improve our Support processes and resolution time. We just recently implemented a new Support tracking tool that will help with these issues. You may submit a case online at https://omaticsoftware.freshdesk.com/support/solutions or by emailing us at support@omaticsoftware.com. You will notice this new tool also has a Knowledgebase but we are still working to get all of our existing solutions moved over so don’t be surprised if all of the content you are accustomed to is not there yet.

In addition, we are in the process of identifying a new phone system that will help ensure a live analyst is always reachable, rather than relying on our current voicemail system.. We hope to go live with that system in the next couple of months.

In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to our Director of Customer Success directly if you are not getting the assistance that you need. Her name is Jennifer Neher and her email address is jennifern@omaticsoftware.com.

    Hi,

The addition of basic biographical fields should not promote the record to a full constituent. Here is are the details:

"Non-biographical data (which will trigger a full constituent) for List Management imports includes: assigned solicitors, financial relationships, gifts, memberships, or tributes. Non-constituent records in List Management may include the following types of fields, without creating a constituent record: actions, appeals, attributes, constituent codes, individual relationships, notes, organization relationships, or ratings."

^This information was previously found here http://omatic-importomatic.helpdocsonline.com/list-right-click-menu. We've since clarified and copied it to a few other places for clarity too. Thanks for the tip!

In the latest version of ImportOmatic with List Management, we've added a feature that makes it easy to correct any accidental promotions. You can now demote records back to being nonconstituents, right from within the list! You can review the functionality here: http://omatic-importomatic.helpdocsonline.com/demote-a-record. If you're hosted by Blackbaud, you will see this when you are updated to 3.4.0.0+. If you're not hosted by Blackbaud, you can download it to day by logging in to your omaticsoftware.com account!

This is an interesting idea! Would you want to see this while reviewing possible matches, or just while merging the records (either one-by-one or in a merge queue)?

    Thanks,

    Hi Erin,

This is an interesting challenge. Can you tell us a little more about how you know whether an address is invalid or incomplete during the import? Are you configuring the import to show you every address change and then making the call on a case-by-case basis, or are you using some other method like a dictionary that looks for blank fields?

    Thanks,

    The Omatic Team

Hi Sara, unless I'm missing something you can definitely import Gift Attributes with ImportOmatic. This section from the user guide shows how to field map attributes:

    http://omatic-importomatic.helpdocsonline.com/attribute-mapping

The sample images use Constituent attributes, but Gift Attributes would work the same way. Feel free to contact support if you're having trouble with it! Please let me know if I missed something also. Thanks for giving us your feedback!

    Hi Shalena,

Thank you for the additional information. It appears that you would like there to be an option to automatically promote matched non-constituent relationships (similar to what we added for non-constituent spouses). So no matter how the match is made - either manually in the duplicate search screen or using a unique identifier such as alias - that record should be promoted.

This is separate from the side by side comparison screen too. You would see that either way, if you have the option selected to view that screen.

    Thank you,
    Omatic Software

    Hi Shalena,

I looked at your support case and found that you're seeing the side-by-side comparison screen when the non-constituents are matched by alias, and then trying to change some of their biographical data (adding a middle name where there wasn't one previously, for example).
It appears that the issue is with the bio comparison screen popping when the data is blank in RE, is that correct? If so, I can update the title of this suggestion to say that there should be an option not to see the side-by-side when the field is blank in RE.

    Thank you,
    Omatic Software

Hi Sandy, if you change that query to a Static query, does it move faster? (it does mean the query would need to be refreshed periodically, of course...)

Hi Nike, whenever conditional logic comes up, it's almost always a perfect fit for solving with ImportOmatic's API:

Tom, cool idea, but I'm worried the dictionaries would get stale fast. Might be better to have a virtual field of Constit ID and you populate it by querying the DB directly using the attribute value?

Hi Tom. You can currently do #2 in ImportOmatic. Click and drag your mouse down the Record Type column and then right click. You'll see the option "Set record type". This will give you an option of the major record types, such as Constituent Field, Constituent Address, Gift, etc.

    Hi Ashley,

You can actually just click the Escape key on your keyboard during an import and IOM will ask you if you want to stop at that point. It will log on which import row number the import was cancelled, so you can remove the rows that have already been processed from the source file and start importing it again later. It's not perfect, but it sounds a lot better than shutting down RE completely.

Ahhh... I see! OK, the ability to append to existing notepads is not currently on the roadmap, mainly because of the complexity in configuring Notepad duplicate criteria for each of the different Notepad types. However... I would think this could be done with the IOM API if you happen to have technical staff on hand, or Omatic could give you an estimate for writing the API code to do it for you (not a sales pitch! Just letting you know options). Thanks again for your feedback David, keep 'em coming!

AdminOmatic Software (Product Manager, ImportOmatic) commented  ·

Hi David, Thanks for your suggestion. The difference (and the reason we added it) is that Ed Rel's have a single "Notes" field rather than a collection of Notepads. That made the ability to append crucial so that we did not delete data. If we update notes for Notepads, we will need to add duplicate/matching criteria for Notepads, and we will probably have different matching criteria for all the different types (constituents, gifts, etc). Unless you meant "all notes" as opposed to "all notepads", like on other relationships, participants, etc. If so, I think that is a very reasonable suggestion. Please let us know.

    Thanks again for the feedback!
    Jeff
