SQL queries are completely optional and aren't necessary to run an effective scoring scenario. SQL queries can give you a little more flexibility in querying records together. To use a SQL query in a scoring profile, follow these steps:

1. On the SQL Queries tab, click Add to write a new query



2. Give the query a name and optionally, a description
3. Enter the query statement - the Select clause is already provided
4. Hit Test to verify your statement and to see the number of records the query will return
5. Once you're finished editing the query statement, hit Save
